Marco Tempest – A mind-blowing cyber-magic card trick
Watch as techno-illusionist Marco Tempest performs an amazing card trick at a TED Talk in Edinburgh, Scotland. He straps on augmented reality glasses and lets you watch from his point of view. During the illusion, he tells us that the suits, numbers and colors in a deck of cards correspond to the seasons, moon cycles and calendar. And by incorporating technology into his illusion, it is difficult to tell which is a tech illusion and which is slight of hand. The result is a card trick like nothing you have ever seen.
Internet of food – Arduino-based, urban aquaponics in Oakland
Eric Mandu is farming in a concrete jungle. He is persevering and finding ways to make food with no soil. He uses a system called Aquaponics where he takes the water from fish tanks and cycles it through rock soil to grow vertical rooting plants which generates higher yields.
While his grow shop is smaller than a full sized farm he is producing unexpected growth in the urban jungle in Oakland.
