9 Year old boy inspires Detroit

Joshua Smith, 9 and Dwayne Durant, 10 are two young men trying to make a difference and to contribute to their community. They wanted to assist their city, Detroit during its financial challenges by having a popcorn & juice sale to raise money. The event drove broad attention. The mayor of Chicago, Dave Bing thanked the inspiring efforts and the city council presented the family with the “Spirit of Detroit” award.
