A Fresno family received a wonderful gift from the local SPCA – the life of their beloved dog. According to ABC 30 in Fresno, California, it started a couple weeks ago when the Martinez family dog Kayla slipped on wet concrete and suffered serious injuries from a spike in their backyard.
“I gave her a huge hug and I told her I was so sorry I was poor and I hoped she could forgive me and then she got off and they took her around the corner, and that was the last I seen of her,” said Frank Martinez.
The story doesn’t end there. The SPCA was so touched by the Martinez family and the love for Kayla they decided to save her. She has been returned to the family and she is doing great.
