In what was to be his last conversation, San Diego police officer and Afghanistan war veteran, Jeremy Henwood, is seen on a surveillance camera doing one last act of kindness.
The officer was ordering food at McDonald’s when a young boy comes up to him and asks if he has a dime. Henwood asks what it is for and the boy tells him that it is for cookies. Henwood then offers to buy the cookies.
Shortly after this kind gesture, Henwood was killed in his patrol car. Thousands showed up for his memorial service to pay tribute to this soldier with a kind heart.
