Billing itself as the “world’s friendliest restaurant,” Tim’s Place in Albuquerque, New Mexico is owned by the very happy and enthusiastic Tim Harris. A Special Olympic gold medalist, Tim may also be the only restaurant owner in the country with Down syndrome.
Tim is a hard worker, getting up at 5:30 to be at the restaurant at 7:00. He is so excited to go to work that he does a dance in the parking lot everyday as he arrives. Read more
Act Of Sportsmanship Gives Texas High Schooler Shot At Glory (Click for Video)
A Texas teen has set the example of sportsmanship by unselfishly surrendering the basketball to a developmentally disabled member of the opposing team so he could score a point during a game. Chris Solomon’s rescue (Click for Video)
On July 24th 2010 a BBC camera crew arrived at Yorkshire Air Ambulance HQ to film the team as part of the Helicopter Heroes series.
Shortly before 7am, emergency medical dispatcher, Chris Solomons, arrived at work feeling unwell. Chris’s colleagues assessed him and it quickly became apparent he was suffering from a massive heart attack. Read more
