Bucket of Sloths (Click for Video)
Watch this adorable video of a bunch of sloths hanging out together in a big bucket. It was produced by National Geographic explorer and zoologist Lucy Cooke, who has written her first book entitled,A Little Book of Sloth, which features photos, facts, and stories about the residents of the world’s first sloth orphanage. The book is scheduled to be released on March 5, 2013 and a percentage of the sales will go towards sloth conservation.

Amazingly beautiful video shot by Michael Schaefer of Dean Potter walking a highline at Cathedral Peak in Yosemite National Park as the sun sets and the moon rises. It was shot from a mile away with a Canon 800mm and 2X.
This shot was part of a bigger project for National Geographic called The Man Who Can Fly.
Cheetahs Running in Slow Motion
National Geographic and the Cincinnati Zoo have teamed up to film the fastest runners on the planet in a way that has never been done before.
The team used a Phantom camera filming at 1200 frames per second while zooming beside a sprinting cheetah. They were able to catch every nuance of the cats’ movements while the cats reached speeds in excess of 60 miles per hour. Read more
