In this very interesting video, filmmaker Brent Hoff and neuroscientists at Stanford teamed up to have the first ever “Love Competition.” The premise is that six people will be put into fMRI machines and love as hard as they can for five minutes. Then brain regions that produce the neurochemical experience of love are measured. The contestant who generates the greatest amount of activity in the region wins. The contestants ranged in age from ten to seventy-five. The winner might surprise you.
